A short while later, Zhang Yang drove the Cayenne, picking up Li Kaiguang, heading straight to SCLUB, the newest and most popular nightclub in Yinghai City, which had opened just last year.

Though Yinghai City wasn’t very big, the nightclub was packed, its popularity concentrated, and it was near the university district.

Many girls, after applying glamorous makeup and changing into sexy outfits, transformed into wild party girls, crazier than anyone else.

Zhang Yang parked nearby and contacted the marketing guy.

At the club entrance, he met a young man named Little Liu, energetic and smooth-talking.

“Bro, just call me Little Liu. Your VIP booth is ready,” he said, enthusiastically leading them inside.

The three of them entered the club. The atmosphere was typical-lights, sound, beautiful men and women, and a raucous mix of music and alcohol.

Zhang Yang had seen plenty of such scenes in Rongcheng and even in Shanghai.

Li Kaiguang, however, seemed new to this, feeling a bit awkward. Looking at all the scantily clad girls around, his eyes widened.

“Zhang Yang… how come goddesses are everywhere here?” he marveled, like a wide-eyed newcomer.

“Goddesses?” Zhang Yang was surprised.

Looking around, he understood immediately. In Li Kaiguang’s eyes, girls with good figures, fair skin, long black hair, and well-done makeup were all “goddesses.”

“Bro, the booth’s here. I reserved the best spot for you,” Little Liu said, guiding them to the VIP seating and bringing a tray of fruits and snacks within his authority.

“Drinks will come soon; you won’t be left wanting,” Zhang Yang noted, seeing the marketing guy eager to serve.

“Waiting for others?”

“Anyway, thanks for coming, bro!” Little Liu said repeatedly.

Zhang Yang leaned back on the sofa, the loud music filling his ears.

Nearby, Li Kaiguang kept his head down, busy messaging the girl.

After some time, he suddenly stood up, scanning the club, then excitedly waved.

“Zhang Yang, they’re here! Wow, her best friends are amazing!”

“How many amazing ones?” Zhang Yang asked, amused by Li Kaiguang’s wide-eyed excitement.

“At least three or five, that level of amazing!” Li Kaiguang waved his hands. “Little bro, good things come to those who help others. You help me, and your luck comes too.”

Zhang Yang wasn’t sure he trusted Li Kaiguang’s taste. After all, in his eyes, any girl slightly pretty counted as a goddess. “Three or five ‘amazing’ ones” probably meant just slightly more attractive than average.

Following his line of sight, Zhang Yang saw two girls walking toward them.

One he recognized from Li Kaiguang’s WeChat, pretty and with makeup that hit his type.

The other wore a crop top, showing faint abs and long legs-definitely impressive.

No wonder Li Kaiguang considered them “three to five amazing.”

“Zhou Tian, over here!” Li Kaiguang’s voice revealed his excitement.

The two girls approached and sat in the booth.

“Not bad, Li Kaiguang, you’re learning. Bringing me to a club is worth a hundred daily sweet messages,” Zhou Tian said, introducing her friend, “This is my best friend Wang Luyao. Aren’t you going to introduce your brother?”

Both girls turned to Zhang Yang, impressed.

“This is my aunt’s nephew, Zhang Yang,” Li Kaiguang eagerly put an arm around him.

Zhang Yang smiled and nodded at the two girls.

They exchanged glances and then settled in. Wang Luyao sat beside Zhang Yang, relaxed and confident, speaking naturally.

“Handsome, I didn’t expect you to be even better in person than your photos,” she said.

“Really? You’re full of surprises yourself,” Zhang Yang replied casually, studying this unexpected encounter.

Her makeup enhanced her looks, but her base features were excellent: good figure, clear skin, and a fresh, natural beauty.

“Disappointed?” Wang Luyao teased, blinking at him.

“Want me to flatter you a bit? Sweet words? I guess you’ve heard enough already, just missing a few from me?” Zhang Yang said, laughing.

“Of course, when a handsome guy says it, it’s different,” she replied softly with a smile.

Zhang Yang waved over Little Liu, who ran eagerly over.

“Top up ten thousand, a bottle of Champagne King, and a Black Ace,” Zhang Yang said, using some leftover club credit. The two bottles cost over ten thousand in total, enough to make an impression.

The girls’ eyes lit up.

“Your brother is so generous!” Zhou Tian exclaimed.

“Yeah, he’s always generous around beautiful girls,” Li Kaiguang said, beaming.

Little Liu set up the POS, and Zhang Yang quickly swiped.

Soon after, the drinks arrived, along with a mountain of snacks.

“Open together,” Zhang Yang said casually.

“Sure!” Little Liu quickly opened the bottles. “Bro, enjoy tonight. Anything you need, just call me.”

Zhang Yang told the girls, “Pour whatever you like.”

They laughed and served themselves.

“Here, Zhang handsome, yours,” Wang Luyao handed him a glass and poured one for herself.

They clinked glasses.

The club’s atmosphere and alcohol erased any distance.

After a few drinks, Wang Luyao leaned slightly against him, half-playfully, half-reluctantly.

“Going home tonight?” Zhang Yang asked, hand moving from her shoulder to her waist.

He understood his advantage and wielded it smoothly. It was undeniably effective.

“Of course, Zhang handsome, any suggestions?” Wang Luyao asked, eyes on his close-up face.

“Hotel?” Zhang Yang suggested.

“Ah? So direct,” she blushed slightly. “Always straight to the hotel… fine, you’re handsome, I’ll follow your lead.”

She thought for a moment and kissed him.

Li Kaiguang watched this unfold, marveling silently.

“This is just the first meeting, and my brother’s already… impressive,” he thought.

He looked at Zhou Tian beside him.

“Um, Zhou Tian,” he asked cautiously, “are you going home tonight?”

Hers eyes widened at him.

“Li Kaiguang, are you crazy? I only agreed to a few drinks with you. You’re misreading this. Really, you’re just basking in your brother’s shine.”

Li Kaiguang opened his mouth but couldn’t reply.

“Alright, I’ll be honest-I’m slow to warm up, so don’t rush me,” Zhou Tian said decisively.

Li Kaiguang nodded, relieved. At least she hadn’t outright rejected him; there was still hope.

Nearby, a few guys were drinking and chatting.

One got up for the restroom, and on return, he noticed a very handsome guy holding a girl close, chatting happily-clearly planning to continue later.

He recognized the girl, took a photo, and texted his friends:

“Bro, why didn’t you drink when we asked you out tonight?”

“Not… I told you, I have to be with my girlfriend. What’s up?” came the instant reply.

A look of embarrassment crossed the guy’s face as his fingers rattled across the keyboard.

“Are you sure you’re with your girlfriend?”

“Could there be any doubt? What exactly do you mean by asking that? You think I’d lie to you?” came the instant reply.

“No, no, I was just thinking… the guy I saw in the club, sitting next to your girlfriend, didn’t seem like you, right?” The guy attached the photo he had just taken.

Moments later:

“Holy crap! Where? Did you just take that? I’m on my way!” The text practically radiated fury and urgency.

“I sent you the location, hurry. Looks like they’re almost done drinking; you get my meaning,” the other guy tactfully reminded.

“I’m heading over right now.”

Then silence.

Meanwhile, Zhang Yang figured he’d had enough drinks for the night.

“So… ready to go?” He glanced at the time. The club was lively, but he had no intention of partying until dawn.

“Now…?” Wang Luyao’s eyes sparkled with anticipation.

Zhang Yang nodded, glancing at Li Kaiguang.

“Bro, you guys keep drinking. We’ll head out first.”

Better to give him some private space with Zhou Tian.

“Ah… okay, you go ahead,” Li Kaiguang said, glancing at Zhang Yang and understanding instantly, a pang of envy in his heart.

Zhang Yang rose, wrapping an arm around Wang Luyao’s waist, and they left the booth, heading straight out of the club.

Outside, the night air was cool.

Zhang Yang held Wang Luyao close, feeling the midnight breeze, realizing that during his time back in Yinghai, he hadn’t experienced a single truly lonely day. Every day had been full.

“Where’s your car?” Wang Luyao asked, glancing sideways.

Zhang Yang shook the keys to his Porsche in his hand.

No need for a Bentley or a Cullinan-a Porsche alone was enough to make her heart race.

Sure enough, Wang Luyao leaned in closer, satisfied.

They walked through the night.

Suddenly, a motorcycle roared up ahead and stopped in front of them.

Wang Luyao froze, her expression a mix of surprise and anxiety.

The rider removed his helmet, eyes flashing with anger as he noticed Zhang Yang’s hand still on Wang Luyao’s waist.

“Weren’t you supposed to be home showering and sleeping? How do you explain this? Where are you going now?” he demanded.

“Who’s this, your boyfriend?” Zhang Yang asked Wang Luyao.

She hesitated, then nodded slightly.

“Wow, this is a mess,” Zhang Yang muttered, letting go. “Forget it, this is between you two to handle.”

As the saying goes, even thieves have principles-her boyfriend was right there; he had to respect that.

He turned away as their argument rose behind him.

“Tell me, why did you lie? Why deceive me? If I hadn’t come, were you planning to…?” the guy shouted furiously.

“You jerk, accusing me! I was in a bad mood after you gave me the silent treatment. So what if I went out for a drink?” Wang Luyao shot back.

“Out for a drink? You were all over each other-I saw it! Still denying it?” he continued.

“All over each other? I just twisted my ankle, and he helped me walk a bit. What’s wrong with that? Your mind is filthy; that’s why everything looks dirty to you!” she snapped.

Zhang Yang shook his head as he walked.

He had been looking forward to a nice night, but it was ruined.

“Who told you to leave?”

Suddenly, a shout came from behind.

Zhang Yang paused, realizing it was directed at him.

“Got more business?” he asked, turning.

The guy quickly approached, blocking him, eyes full of hatred. “Which hand just touched my girlfriend? Do you think you can touch my girlfriend? Damn it…”

“Watch your mouth,” Zhang Yang frowned, slapping him across the face.

The guy covered his face, stunned at first, then a surge of humiliation made him nearly lose control.

“I’ll… I’ll kill you…”

He lunged madly.

Zhang Yang kicked him effortlessly, sending him flying seven or eight meters (~23–26 ft), slamming him onto the ground.

“You couldn’t manage your own girlfriend, and now you come at me? Do you think I know she has a boyfriend? Careful with your mouth,” Zhang Yang said, towering over him.

The guy froze, speechless, feeling a massive force had thrown him to the ground.

By the time he processed what happened, he was sprawled on the floor.

“I…” Realizing he’d been kicked, recalling the scene he just witnessed, he felt utterly humiliated and scrambled desperately.
