Chapter 23
Chapter 23 Entry to VIP Notice
Black-Footed Cat Ge listened to the little kitten’s growls and did not immediately take an aggressive stance.
“Li Li, give him his fish.”
Black-Footed Cat Ge reminded, “Otherwise, you won’t finish your orders.”
Bai Li, reminded by him, quickly took off his backpack and placed the fish in front of the ruthless kiln factory owner with pitter-patter steps.
After placing it down, Bai Li watched the owner confirm the order, then retreated behind Black-Footed Cat Ge, looking fierce as if protected by a boss.
Black-Footed Cat Ge didn’t let them stay behind him but directly drove them away.
“This place is mine to handle.”
He squinted his eyes, using a hunting-like gaze, staring at the owner by the door.
Cats hold grudges, and humans naturally do too. If this bad man took out his grudge on the little kitten, he might bully the kitten again in the future.
Bai Li obediently led Meimei to turn and run away, hiding at some distance in the flowerbed to observe secretly.
The ruthless owner couldn’t understand cat language, so naturally, he didn’t know about the exchange between Bai Li and Black-Footed Cat Ge.
Seeing the little kitten run away with another cat, he smiled and lifted the fish.
The fish delivered was good and still very fresh.
“Little kittens are really easy to deal with,” the owner murmured with narrowed eyes.
That batch of cat-paw-marked tools had recently caught the attention of several clients.
The ruthless owner happily thought, after selling this batch of cat-paw tools, he would hire a cat to work.
No cost, and they work hard.
“Yo.”
The owner, holding the fish and about to go back inside, looked at the lingering Black-Footed Cat: “What is this little cat going to do?”
Black-Footed Cat Ge lowered his head and curled his front legs—a complete attack posture.
Unfortunately, the ruthless owner had never studied the Black-Footed Cat breed, so he didn’t understand its attack methods at all.
A few seconds later.
“Ah!!!”
Accompanied by a flash of a shadow before his eyes, the ruthless owner suddenly screamed like a pig being slaughtered. He suddenly took several steps back, crossing his hands tightly in front of his chest to protect his heart.
The fabric on his chest, which wasn’t very thin, was torn apart by extremely sharp claws. The claws also left long, bloody scratch marks on his chest that looked shocking.
The ruthless owner felt pain, fear, and hatred all at once: “You little beast! Today, I’ll skin you alive!”
He didn’t even bother with the dropped fish and rushed back inside to find something to beat the crazed cat to death.
But Black-Footed Cat Ge wasn’t an ordinary breed. Those who came at him with force would be taught a lesson.
Not long after.
Black-Footed Cat Ge retracted his claws and looked at the useless scum with disdain.
“Meow.”
You owe Li Li wages—use that to cover medical expenses.
Also, Cat Ge remembered that this ruthless owner had made Bai Li stamp paw prints on many things. When the time comes, he will have the human he tamed, Yan Cen, deal with these matters.
This owner can forget about profiting from Li Li’s paw print products.
Bai Li, hiding in the flowerbed, saw Black-Footed Cat Ge’s strength and couldn’t help but sigh again.
“Black Ge is really strong.”
Meimei enviously agreed: “No wonder he can be the boss.”
With such power, it would be unreasonable if he weren’t the boss of this area.
Black-Footed Cat Ge had actually restrained himself somewhat; Yan Cen had taught him a lot.
He knew this place was not the African wilds he was familiar with. Many humans lived here, and if he were too brutal, it would scare humans and cause trouble for other cats.
As for the ruthless owner he had beaten, he wasn’t afraid—he still had Yan Cen.
Yan Cen was the human he tamed. Although Yan Cen used a wheelchair and was physically weak, he knew Yan Cen could easily handle many things in the human world.
On the way back, Bai Li kept meowing to Cat Ge: “Black Ge, do you think that ruthless owner will take revenge on us?”
“He won’t dare.”
Cat Ge said calmly, “He can’t beat me.”
Bai Li was infected by Cat Ge’s confidence and stopped worrying about any trouble.
That night.
After getting vaccinated and treating his wounds, the ruthless owner gritted his teeth and reviewed the day’s events.
He picked up his phone, intending to complain about the little kitten who delivered the fish, but before he could unlock the phone, someone knocked on his door.
In the end, that complaint call was never made.
“Meimei, come eat.”Under the overpass, Bai Li placed the good cat food he bought from Dr. Qiu He in front of Meimei and the others.
Several cats sat side by side, eating cat food, drinking water, and casually chatting, each cat very happy.
During the cat meeting, Bai Li for the first time told them his reason for coming down the mountain.
“I’m looking for my fiancé.”
Bai Li rubbed his face with his paws: “Someone told me before that if I find my fiancé, I can transform.”
The other cats were confused: “Big Brother, you can transform?”
Bai Li nodded: “I think so.”
“Anyway, if I find my fiancé, I might be able to transform. I have less than a year now. If I can’t transform, I have to go back up the mountain.”
Going back up the mountain, he wasn’t sure if the elders could help. If not, he would have to remain a cat forever.
Meimei heard this and felt the situation was serious.
“Big Brother, your time is tight. I think you should find your fiancé quickly.”
Bai Li was calm: “Don’t worry, the fortune teller gave me a pouch.”
“I opened it some time ago. The fortune teller said my fiancé and I have a strong connection.”
So, his stick-figure fiancé would definitely meet him.
Right now, he liked delivery work very much and had a small hope in this direction.
Deliveries meant meeting many people. Maybe on the next delivery, he could deliver to his fiancé.
The cats were successfully comforted by him and started chatting about his fiancé.
“Big Brother, are you going to marry your fiancé?”
Bai Li was stunned by the question, his beautiful amber eyes showing some confusion: “Grandfather said, coming down the mountain to find my fiancé, and after finding—”
What to do next?
Bai Li, who hadn’t looked at the note for a long time, couldn’t quite remember.
“After finding the fiancé, you get married.” Diandian, who was eating cat food, answered quickly: “Big Brother, marriage is great, and you can get red envelopes too.”
“You get married, and then Diandian, Da Hui, and Meimei will give you red envelopes.”
The cats thought if Big Brother’s fiancé was good, getting married would be awesome.
Bai Li, gradually brainwashed by his little brothers, also thought their idea seemed pretty good.
If the fiancé was as gentle, good-looking, and kind to cats as the mister, he might try to like him a little.
However...Bai Li thought of the mister and always felt that, besides his brothers, no one else was as good-looking and kind to him as the mister.
He really liked the mister.
The cats chatted for a long time, and by the end, all of them started yawning.
Bai Li watched his little brothers crawl into the cardboard box, then turned to go to Xie Chen’s home.
Just outside the overpass, a familiar Maybach stopped in front of him.
Xie Chen rolled down the window and called out to the little kitten a few steps away, “Li Li, come here.”
Bai Li’s eyes lit up when he saw the mister.
“Meow!”
Mister!
He happily ran toward Xie Chen, who opened the car door, watched the little kitten jump up, and reached out to pat his head.
“Sit properly, we’re going home.”
The car door closed.
Xie Chen glanced at the other cats still under the overpass and quietly asked, “Li Li, do you want to bring them home with you?”
These cats had a good relationship with Li Li. He didn’t mind if Li Li brought his little friends back.
Bai Li hesitated.
He wanted to find a place for Meimei and the others to live, but having them all stay at the mister’s house seemed too troublesome.
“I’ll ask Meimei and the others.”
The mister’s home wasn’t cold; Bai Li didn’t want Meimei and the others to lose their choice because of him.
He got out of the car and asked Meimei, Diandian, and Da Hui one by one.
In the end, none of the three wanted to go.
Having followed Bai Li these days, they had learned some of his principles.
The mister Big Brother talked about clearly invited them because of Big Brother.
They didn’t want to always be a burden on Big Brother.
Seeing their refusal, Bai Li promised to find a place soon where they could all live together.
Not long after,
Bai Li went back to the villa with Xie Chen, who was obsessed with making cat food for him and took every chance to feed him.
Bai Li, really unable to eat more, looked at Xie Chen pleadingly.
“Meow.”He leaned in, showing his round belly in front of Xie Chen, even holding Xie Chen’s big hand to let him touch it.
“So round now.”
The cat couldn’t eat anymore.
Xie Chen looked at his swollen round belly, then with his free right hand, pressed a fist against his lips to hide a smile.
The little guy voluntarily showing his belly was indeed very cute.
No wonder Xie Bo couldn’t help but keep feeding him; now he felt like feeding him too.
Bai Li didn’t know what Xie Chen was thinking and still relied on him wholeheartedly.
Xie Chen bent down and gently kissed his furry head to comfort him.
“That’s enough, no more feeding from Xie Bo.”
The intimate interaction between the man and the cat made Xie Bo smile.
So good.
This little kitten stayed by the mister’s side, and lately, the mister’s mood seemed to have improved a lot. No longer like before, when he couldn’t control his emotions and even hurt himself.
The night deepened bit by bit.
Bai Li curled up beside Xie Chen’s pillow, focusing on watching him.
He was thinking about the fiancé topic he chatted about with Meimei earlier that night, and suddenly, he dared to think—
If, if the fiancé were the mister, that would be great.
Sigh.
This thought, he could only secretly entertain.
Bai Li, holding what he thought was an unrealistic idea, after helping Xie Chen drive away the dark mist, reached out his paw, carefully grasping one of Xie Chen’s fingers, then closed his eyes.
The villa was peaceful and quiet.
In a certain hospital room, Tan Yi, whose cold had accidentally worsened to tonsillitis and was now feverish, was throwing a tantrum with his agent.
“I told you, I have more important things to do now. I’m not seeing the doctor anymore.”
“That’s not okay.”
The agent’s attitude was stubborn: “Tan Ge, you can’t delay your illness.”
“The higher-ups ordered that you must be cured before you’re allowed to be discharged.”
Tan Yi’s commercial value was huge, so the company naturally didn’t want his health to remain bad. This time, the company gave Tan Yi’s agent a strict order to carefully oversee Tan Yi’s treatment.
Tan Yi was watched all day by the agent. Now, after throwing many things in a tantrum, the agent remained calm, still smiling patiently while coaxing him.No way.
Tan Yi could only continue to endure.
He took several deep breaths to calm his emotions, then looked more composed.
The agent finally relaxed at his cooperation.
But who would have thought, early the next morning, the agent went out to grab breakfast for just a few minutes, and when he returned, Tan Yi was gone.
Agent: “???”
The agent stared in disbelief at the empty room. Impossible.
Such a big person couldn’t just run away!
The agent went crazy looking for him. At the hospital entrance, a large blue-and-white patterned cat glanced coldly at him, then swaggered past boldly.
Hmph.
You want to stop me from finding my brother? No way!
Back at the villa, Bai Li was placed on the dining table by Xie Chen, eating breakfast.
“Meow!”
Mister, I’m full.
After stuffing his belly, Bai Li climbed onto Xie Chen’s lap and clingily watched him eat.
Xie Chen’s expression was calm as he finished his own breakfast.
A moment later.
When Xie Chen was about to leave holding Bai Li, he suddenly noticed a new piece of porcelain displayed against the wall in the living room.
On the porcelain were several cat paw prints.
Bai Li tilted his head, a bit confused. These paw prints looked like his.
But how could his cat paw print porcelain be here? Could there be other cats who also pressed paw prints?
Bai Li couldn’t figure it out and didn’t think too much about it.
Xie Chen took him to the seafood shop. Just after leaving the seafood shop, Bai Li was stopped on the street by someone.
“Mr. Xie.”
Tan Yi, the brand ambassador of Xie Group, with a pair of charming peach blossom eyes and a half-smile, looked at him and asked, “Have you seen a little white kitten? Very cute.”
